It Rains today ...

again I can't swim tdy becuz of the heavy
rain ... guess it will rain more nowadays

I hate end of the years anyway ...
the rainy days doesn't really
inspire me

Clive was flying off on Thursday ...
so we meet on Saturday ...
it felt kinda strange ... we were
room mates during the last semester
... but it had been ages
since we last met each other

Life is still relaxing & ez-gg for both
of us ... can't imagine
doing post-graduate in
the years to come

anyway there was FREE movie,
FREE popcorn, FREE coke at the
Real Estate Alumini AGM ...
Clive invited me to enjoy
the free stuff

The movie, 'Sounds of thunder' (not too
sure of the title though) suxs
terribly. We were like
yawning ... a totally ridiculous
movie ... it's a TOTAL joke,
though it's not a comedy at all ... LOADS
of CRAP !!!!
I told Clive :"can you imagine
spending $9.50 on this movie" ...
I pity those buying weekend
ticket for this movie

we watched the EPL at one
of the coffeeshop, the match
was agnoising ... anyway it will be
a while when we watched
soccer together again
... Hall life is fun !!

on Sun, I accompanied cousin, Weepy
to fishing ... just for the
morning ... no fish for the day

I haven't fish for quite
a while ... JH introduced me
to fishing a couple of years ago...
used to fish well into the nite

can't go away this december ... though
a couple of my frenzs and family
members mentioned abt
holiday trip ... rite
now holiday trip is too extravagant
for me

my tuition centre's boss called
me at 12pm while I'm still
sleeping ... he knew
tt I haven't got a job so
he will call me
when backup is needed ... and
in the past if I wanted to
earn more, he will find
classes for me ... a lot
of things he has done
for me touched my
heart

Will it rain today???

It has been raining whole week, without
my regular swimming sessions, it's
driving me crazy

Let's hope it won't rain today

Tuesday I went for a partial makeover
so tt I cld take my resume foto

I din look totally diff after the makeover,
but of cuz my face look smoother
n minus the oil, so of cuz there
shd b some diff as compared to
taking the pic in the neighbourhood
foto studio

the makeup artist was v cool,
v professional ... if u met
a stylist who doesn't talk much
when he/she does his/her work, normally
he/she is gud

it nt tt ex, but nt tt cheap either, I reckoned
it's $$$ well invested ... will ask Tze chien
to scan for me so tt I can reproduce
more fotos

oso bought Andrew Matthews new book,
it's a nice little book titled 'Making Friends'

I learnt alot frm Andrew Matthews, abt
being positive n being happy ... sometime
when pple needs a listen ear or needs some
advice ... I kinda remembers the idea

mentioned in his previous books

Wed & Thur r both rainy days,
honestly I hate the mths
frm Sep onwards

It's rainy, depressing n
u have to carry ur umbrella

met up with JC frenzs, Tze n Mao-mao,
wanted to meet up n talk
abt tings but we ended up
gg to karaoke

first time singing w them,
but still it's quite fun,
though it's a pity

the admission test for US
college

a week pass by rather quickly, can't
wait for the weekend to start !!!

COP/Cycling/University application/Mid-autumn
festival/Bittersweet life/Champion League

din quite remember wat I did on Mon & Tue, shd
be quite meaningful, prob is without my
organiser I lost my memory as well

i oni remember events after Wed

staying out till late midnight catching
the Champion League ... quite a match
if you r a passionate supporter

woke up the nxt day, n went cycling
with cousin, Weepy

we cycled to a quiet corner at
Sembawang Beach ...

I love the serene sounds of the wave,
the warmth of the sun n the intimacy
of the sand

Everything at the beach feels GUD!!!

we cycled at high speed n we shouted
as though no one would hear our echo

quite fun !!! when u play as though
no one is watching ... tt the fun part

Life is fun ... when u enjoy the
moment

thursday was quite merry ... in the
evening I went to the theatre
with BH & SY

caught the movie, Bittersweet life,
quite a spectacle to watch

i will do my postgrad in virology
instead of dermatology

Sunday was Mid Autumn Festival

As a child, Mid Autumn Festival
was the oni festival which I
can play fire openly

almost every child plays with candles,
but playing with candles was realli
AN EXCUSE to play w fire

somehow playing w fire is realli
fun, it must be the excitement tt
it inspires in us

but tis yr Mid Autumn Festival
was diff ... was @ Liling's wedding

it was like years since I saw her
as well as our 2 other classmates,
Meilan & Penny

Liling has changed a lot ... blissful &
happy ...

the wedding dinner was
well-organised ... the food was superb
... it must be since they planned for
a year, n a year is a long time

I was sitting beside Penny for the dinner,
quite funny since we din have much
change to talk in sch ... but we

conversed quite well ... talked a lot
on lotsa stuff ...

the evening passed by v quickly ...

stella msg me occasionally to inform
me abt the score for Man Utd- Liverpool
match

during the dinner, one of the guest started
talking abt Europe, n den we talked
abt Belgium

she said Belgium wasn't quite safe, she
was there for 6 mths

I thot ignorance can b a bliss sometimes,
depends on how u see it

I remembered accepting a ride together
with Stella one night in Belgium becuz
we couldn't find our hostel

On hindsight, it might nt be a gud
decision

I left Belgium thinking it is one
of the warmest plc in Europe

Nothing has changed though...

Birthday/ EPL back/ Biopolis ??/ Marathon/ Seafood @ JB

last Sunday was light, din realli hav as much tuition
as previous wk ... but my pay packet suffered ... but it
was nice to go back home to hav dinner ... haven't
done it for so many weekends

tuition pretty relaxing now ... have completed most
of my students' syllabus

was at Singapore's first film fest @ cineleisure ... it
was a GOOD effort by the korean tourism promotion
board ... tink some of the korean companies have
bought tickets for their staff, the seats were
pretty much filled up

my dream is to organise a Korean film fest one day,
and bring in quality film ... right now, it's still a
dream though ... my small, little effort now is
just to keep my korean movie website ongoing

the ladies looked cool in their traditional korean
costumes, though they r Singaporean

watched 'Marathon' at the film fest - a very
inspiring movie n it's v well-made, u can view
my review at my website ... it brought back
memories of Stockholm Marathon n lotsa other
memories ... so to me the movie means much
more den to others

anyway ... korean movies enthusiast (those
'converted' by me), there are a couple of
movies coming up in the nxt 2 mths, a MUST
watch - 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance'

Wed was my bdae ... DICK messaged me @
12am sharp wishing me HAPPY bdae ...
Jayce, Stella n cousin Noi wished me soon after
... b4 I slept @ 2am kinda surpised so many pple
knew my bdae ... woke up @ 10 am n I got a
couple of msgs in my inbox ... kinda touched
to receive so many well-wishers ... but so sorrie
guys, no celebration this time around ... haha

din do too much on bdae though ... I was @
the sandy beach w Cousin
weepy ... hav lunchy with Mum w cousin
after tt ...

cldn't celebrate w my JC buddies ... w/o
CK & KW ard ... it realli less fun ... we used
to eat together in a larger group ...
can't wait for u guys to be back !!!

any wish for my bdae ?? my only wish
is to be as humble & cool always

humility is the coolest thing u can find in
a person ... n the 2 coolest persons I
wish to emulate r Arsene Wenger &
Picinini, both ultra-competitive & ultra-confident
people

applied for 3 jobs tt appeared on the
newspapers ... all the 3 companies
were located @ biopolis

the bez ting to get a job by mid Oct,
or even mid November ... guess it
won't be crazy shopping for Christmas
tis time ard, unless I strike lottery

one thing is for sure, I won't get
a job as a cabdriver !!! without a license,
it's not quite possible

job-searching hasn't been easy ... but it's
like that ... it's worth the struggle and 10
years later when one looks back ... the
struggle is realli nothing

over the weekend, I have some really gud
food, too much of a good thing can really
spoil you ... was @ malaysia with sec
sch frenzs Edison + pals ... Edison organised
it to celebrate me & Ren Hao's bdae

The food was delicious, though not quite
sizzling hot - crayfish, prawn, stingray, ribs and
other stuff ... we wanted to have ramli burger
after tt ... but was too full ... Gluttony and
sinful ...

we shopped ard n ended the nite at one of
the coffeeshop near my plc ... talked abt my
frenzs' galfrenzs, our other classmates, our
former crush ...

Aivee moved over to Yishun on sunday, wanted
to help her but by the time I reached flat, I only
ended up chatting with her and telling her the
neighbourhood ... she rented a splendid flat
and a SUPER bargain price

uncle brought me to BOTTLETREE restaurant
@ sembawang for lunch, it's juz beside the sea,
the site of the former Sembawang sea sports club
... the recommended dish is the Mongolian prawn
ball ... luv the plc though we did nt stay for lunch
cuz I got tuition after tt

my tuition kid, Jonathan wanted me to teach
him Geography & History, I din quite agree to it,
I only knew that the only way to learn Geography
is to memorise & memorise ... anyway in most
of my employers' eyes, I can do no wrong ... but I'm
never perfect, never is, never was and never will be

I've got dodgy eyes

I've got sored eyes again, so I was at the clinic
on thursday. It cost me 23 bucks and a few
days without contact

apparently this time it wasn't becuz of the
contact, the bacteria seemed to be
everywhere, tt wat the doctor told me, he
said there were a couple of cases he has
attended to recently

tink I muz have caught the bacteria
frm the pool ... haiz ... won't b able
to swim for the nxt few days

i guessed my eyes r just dodgy ... I do
take care of it well enough ... really ...
mabbe I observe n "look" ard so much
... hehe

din meet up with my JC buddies last Sat,
ended up on the sunny beach @ Sentosa
w Jayce, Pingting n Vivian

the afternoon juz passed away v quickly
... we munched our afternoon away
w cakes, chips, sushi, observing other
pple n juz chit-chatting ... there was tis
guy who seemed to be digging a trench
... realli farny

in the evening, the cafe near us was
crowded with lotsa foreign pple, realised
they were in fact NUS grad ... Jayce n
me were trying to spot who were Swedish
n identifying the swedish babe

we were nt quite successful ... din
realli find a babe ... anyway it was
reminiscent of the gud old days ...
everything seemed so far away yet
altogether vivid ... I guess that is
the quality of gud memories

i sent a foto to Prof Einar juz a few days
ago ... the foto was taken a year ago ...
I'm bloody inefficient !!! ... so it seemed a bit
odd sending the foto after so long

when i promised myself to do sth, I will
DEFINITELY do it ... but U HAVE
to be PATIENT with me ...

Prof Einar is the
most humorous, successful n
professional research scientist I have
worked with

"Thank you for the fotos with 3 happy
people ..." tt was the reply, v typical of
the man. I could
be really honest with him because I
knew he see pple in a positive light

I was guilty when I slept during the
guest lecturer speech and the whole class
knew about it. I
was just too tired !!! I apologised to
Prof Einar but he just smiled and
said that he knew I have been
studying hard for the earlier scheduled
test because of my upcoming UK trip.

there were other sweet memories
but he is a professor that lit up
my memories

on Tuesday, I was with Kian Leng at
the new National Lib ... I found a corner
n juz sit down on the floor ... somehow it
felt a bit cozy sitting down with a
photobook of Bali on my laps ... was
mesmerised by the beautiful images
... at that moment of time, everything
seemed to stop, Kian Leng was kinda hungry after
a while so we left for Turkish food ...
I was joking with KL whether
the restaurant has Channel U logo ...
n indeed it HAS!!! the kebah was gud

it had been a while since I met Kian Leng,
we used to meet quite often ... we were
at HMV ... the colours trilogy is out n so
is Chungking express

Chungking express is one of the most
amazing film I've watched
... it achieved so much with so little ...
it's an all time Classic ... we ended our
evening at Cineleisure's Yoshinoya, our fav
hangout

wednesday was apparently the last sunny
day of the week ... glad tt I went for a
swim!! ... got a sored eye and it has been
raining ever since

thursday was finally the grand finale of
PROJ superstar, some were disappointed
with the results, some were delighted
tt Kelvin won

i said juz enjoyed the show n the
competition, after all it's a healthy one.
I thought Kelvin won fair n square ...
to those who talked abt sympathy votes,
why don't you examine the brains of
every single voter ???

mum treated me to buffet for my bdae
... hav buffet dinner @ ROXY Square ...
it was quite gud ... I thot it was at least
on par with the food served at Merchant
court ... if not better ... actualli i tink
the buffet @ merchant court is realli OVER-RATED
... it's nt tt FANTASTIC

haven't eat fresh oysters for a long, long
time ... still love it altogether, n the
oyster omelette served there was
fantastic ... yummy!!! they have sashimi
as well, the LAKSA was gud!!! ...
n the washroom was beautifully renovated
(a bit off-topic)

anyway gud food naturally made a person
smile ... for a while I doubt whether I still
like eating ... upon finishing the buffet ...
I knew the answer

Gluttony and sinful ... we shopped ard n ended the nite at one of the coffeeshop near my plc ... talked abt my frenzs' galfrenzs, our other classmates, our former crush ... Aivee moved over to Yishun on sunday, wanted to help her but by the time I reached flat, I only ended up chatting with her and telling her the neighbourhood ... she rented a splendid flat and a SUPER bargain price uncle brought me to BOTTLETREE restaurant @ sembawang for lunch, it's juz beside the sea, the site of the former Sembawang sea sports club ... the recommended dish is the Mongolian prawn ball ... luv the plc though we did nt stay for lunch cuz I got tuition after tt my tuition kid, Jonathan wanted me to teach him Geography & History, I din quite agree to it, I only knew that the only way to learn Geography is to memorise & memorise ... anyway in most of my employers' eyes, I can do no wrong ... but I'm never perfect, never is, never was and never will be back to top?
Saturday, September 03, 2005 @ 11:47 PM I've got dodgy eyes I've got sored eyes again, so I was at the clinic on thursday. It cost me 23 bucks and a few days without contact apparently this time it wasn't becuz of the contact, the bacteria seemed to be everywhere, tt wat the doctor told me, he said there were a couple of cases he has attended to recently tink I muz have caught the bacteria frm the pool ... haiz ... won't b able to swim for the nxt few days i guessed my eyes r just dodgy ... I do take care of it well enough ... really ... mabbe I observe n "look" ard so much ... hehe din meet up with my JC buddies last Sat, ended up on the sunny beach @ Sentosa w Jayce, Pingting n Vivian the afternoon juz passed away v quickly ... we munched our afternoon away w cakes, chips, sushi, observing other pple n juz chit-chatting ... there was tis guy who seemed to be digging a trench ... realli farny in the evening, the cafe near us was crowded with lotsa foreign pple, realised they were in fact NUS grad ... Jayce n me were trying to spot who were Swedish n identifying the swedish babe we were nt quite successful ... din realli find a babe ... anyway it was reminiscent of the gud old days ... everything seemed so far away yet altogether vivid ... I guess that is the quality of gud memories i sent a foto to Prof Einar juz a few days ago ... the foto was taken a year ago ... I'm bloody inefficient !!! ... so it seemed a bit odd sending the foto after so long when i promised myself to do sth, I will DEFINITELY do it ... but U HAVE to be PATIENT with me ... Prof Einar is the most humorous, successful n professional research scientist I have worked with "Thank you for the fotos with 3 happy people ..." tt was the reply, v typical of the man. I could be really honest with him because I knew he see pple in a positive light I was guilty when I slept during the guest lecturer speech and the whole class knew about it. I was just too tired !!! I apologised to Prof Einar but he just smiled and said that he knew I have been studying hard for the earlier scheduled test because of my upcoming UK trip. there were other sweet memories but he is a professor that lit up my memories on Tuesday, I was with Kian Leng at the new National Lib ... I found a corner n juz sit down on the floor ... somehow it felt a bit cozy sitting down with a photobook of Bali on my laps ... was mesmerised by the beautiful images ... at that moment of time, everything seemed to stop, Kian Leng was kinda hungry after a while so we left for Turkish food ... I was joking with KL whether the restaurant has Channel U logo ... n indeed it HAS!!! the kebah was gud it had been a while since I met Kian Leng, we used to meet quite often ... we were at HMV ... the colours trilogy is out n so is Chungking express Chungking express is one of the most amazing film I've watched ... it achieved so much with so little ... it's an all time Classic ... we ended our evening at Cineleisure's Yoshinoya, our fav hangout wednesday was apparently the last sunny day of the week ... glad tt I went for a swim!! ... got a sored eye and it has been raining ever since thursday was finally the grand finale of PROJ superstar, some were disappointed with the results, some were delighted tt Kelvin won i said juz enjoyed the show n the competition, after all it's a healthy one. I thought Kelvin won fair n square ... to those who talked abt sympathy votes, why don't you examine the brains of every single voter ??? mum treated me to buffet for my bdae ... hav buffet dinner @ ROXY Square ... it was quite gud ... I thot it was at least on par with the food served at Merchant court ... if not better ... actualli i tink the buffet @ merchant court is realli OVER-RATED ... it's nt tt FANTASTIC haven't eat fresh oysters for a long, long time ... still love it altogether, n the oyster omelette served there was fantastic ... yummy!!! they have sashimi as well, the LAKSA was gud!!! ... n the washroom was beautifully renovated (a bit off-topic) anyway gud food naturally made a person smile ... for a while I doubt whether I still like eating ... upon finishing the buffet ... I knew the answer ... it lies within the following quotation "If you never eat GOOD pizza, how do you even know you don't like pizza" the quotation is from Andrew Matthews's book, a cartoonist, who writes and draws equally well, his book MIGHT change one's life anyway, Dick - congrats on ur promotion ... looking forward to meeting you this week on a Sun nite ... typing and finishing my blog make me a feel a bit nostalgic ... gonna sleep ... gud nite P.S. sorry it has been a while since I updated my blog ... has been quite busy doing a few stuff ... pals take care!!! back to top?
