July - the luckless month


Last July was a bogey month for me.


July 2008 is surprisingly still the
same. Can't believe it!


The hardest thing is to
smile while the chips
are down.


I donno how to do that well ...
& I'm not sure whether
I'm able to do tt ...
when I accomplish at last,
I cld say tt I will
have move on
to another level

Junwei treated Teclise and me to
watch "The Dark Knight" last week ...


He has passed me "Batman Begins"
in January and it still
lying on my table


He joked that he will kidnap me
one day and force me to
watch


That say, "That Dark Knight"
is well worth the hype ...
I enjoy most part of it


After the show, they asked me
"Now for the million dollar
question, when are
you gg to
watch Batman Begins?"


I still believe I will watch it,
but I donno when


"Money Not Enough 2" is also out too.
If you enjoy the first episode, then
watch it lor. The review
seem kinda bad, it's not
easy being a director huh, but then
again Jack Neo is
a mainstream director so
his approach to making a movie
is more pragmatic ...

The Standard Marathon registration
has started for the "ultra" early-bird


Now there are 3 annual marathon
in Singapore ... but
the Stand Chart Marathon
top them all ...


It's the oldest ... & it has
the most number
of participants


Contrary to a lot of my friends,
I like crowd and the
energy and excitement
tt come with it


I donno who I will run with
this year but definitely
with a couple of frenzs


The Marathon will probably
kickstart my Dec
holiday ... at least a whole three
weeks to spend time
with frenzs, family and myself ...
tt wat life is about ...
as what Phoenix always
reminded me

I haven blade for a long, long time ...
and my skin is turning fair again


when u are at ECP, u see a lot
of youngsters who really
have lotsa passion
for bladeing


I admire their passion tremendously ...
after October when
my tuition commitement
is over, I hope to
spend more time at ECP


What do I like really enjoy doing?

#1: Energy sapping activities - like running,

bladeing and dancing.

#2: Making fun at people. Not exactly
a hobby but I'm mischievious
by nature.

#3: Music and singing

#4: Road trip.


Whatever it is, the strange thing
is that I seldom really
get very in depth
into my hobby


But if I really want to excel, I
would love to improve
on #1 and #3


I really admire and respect singers;
they bring a different
dimension to peoples' life

Singers are more cerebral than footballers ...
some of the things that footballers do
are pretty shameful

My dream dog - a papillion


I was at PageOne the other day ...
& I was reading a book
on dogs


I saw the photo of the papillion
& I stopped and
read the description of
the dog


A couple of my frenzs were kinda
surprised tt I'm interested
in having a pet dog


They said I won't have time
for dog


True for now, but not
so in the future


Like I always say, I am
in the process of
cutting down on my
time spent on work
& channeling more time
towards leisure


By end 2009, I think
my life will be less hectic ...


I think it's impossible not to like
a papillion ... Papillions are
playful but intelligent; small
but graceful and full
of character. Having
a papillion should
be loads of fun


Actually contary to what most
people think, I am a lover
of dog.


Dogs are passionate, warm
& loyal; all of the
qualities which I value greatly

At work, I'm stuck again ...


I think people are easier to deal
with den things u can't
talk to


I have everything planned up
and all the dry run
were satisfactory, then
when I started to do
it on a big scale ... unknown
problems crop up


Sometimes I get v upset ... now
my schedule is being dragged
behind again


Still, after venting all my frustrations,

I still need to get back to work
& try my best to troubleshoot


Troubleshoot is a nasty word
to hear/say. I absolutely
loathe it

Forgetting to Worry


A day without worry is great ...
A month without worry is even
better ... what abt a year den?


In 2006, when I start my
work/study, my quality of life
drops


I have a short attention span, and
I just can't work long hours
so there was a big
change in
my life


It was diffiult the first two years. I
was feeling my way thru


I was always resilient but
den I realised I
was starting
to worry

This year, everything starts
to change ... suddenly, I enjoy
my work ... suddenly my
inspiration and
innovativeness
is back


Without inspiration, I felt paralyzed ...
that was how I felt in parts
for the past two years

Being worry-free is really good ...
I sleep v well n I wake
up smiling

went to a couple of convocations last week.
It was Stella's, Sinwah and Yuansong
in that order ...


It feels good to see them graduate ... My
frenzs have good and bad times
during their postgraduate life


I told Stella that I won't want
to attend my convocation next time.


She said that my parents will
be disappointed

All of my good frenzs have graduated
so I will always never
find it meaningful to attend
the ceremony


Anyway, tt is like still many years
later. I'm struggling with my
project, but I will try my
best to graduate
on time, tt a promise
tt I make to myself

Time really flies. It has been
four years since I wrote
my first entry.


I was in Sweden back then and
I had plenty of leisure time, so
I started blogging


Initially, my blog was difficult
to read ... no paragraphing ...
so it was one big paragraph ...
with no spacing ...


A lot has happened in this four years ...
& my life has become

more meaningful & richer


the best thing is to be able
to realise what is
important to oneself ...

The President of FIFA commented that
"footballers are modern slaves"


I would like to ask who in his opinion
are exploiting them


Footballers deserve to be paid well
but by taking for granted
the fans who sponsored
their salary, they are
exploiting people love
for the game


The whole game is being messed
up because of self-loving
presidents of football
club & football association. Their
agenda is to forge their
legacy rather than for
the good of the game


My frenz was telling me tt a

soccer subscription costs like $30 for
a month ... our $$$ simply has
gone to paying for the players'
obscene salary


Sometimes, footballers are not
to be blamed ... they are misled
by bloody agents who are
into the game for the
$$$

I have been reading a bit for the past
few weeks & I realise tt
I enjoy mental stimulation.

I don like solving puzzles
but I like being exposed to new idea.


There is this para in "Living the 80/20 Way"
which I find it to be quite inspiring


"There is a true story about a troop of
young Hungarian solders lost in the Alps during
training. In absymal weather, with no
food or supplies, they were cut off
from their colleagues. After
two days of snow and sleet, they were frozen
and weak from hunger. They had
no idea how to
get back to base. They lost
the will to live.


Then a miracle happened. Searching for
a cigarette in the
lining of his tunic, one of
the soldiers suddenly found an
old map. The soldiers confidently
used the map to march

through the mountains back to
safety.


It was only when they were warm and
fed at base camp that they discovered it
was a map of the Pyrenees, some 2,000
kms away.


This story has two valuable lessons:

It is better to act constructively
than to have the right
answer and not act.


Each of us has to find our own answer,

or adapt someone else's answer to our
own circumstances. "


I guess I have been hibernating
for 2 years since I graduated.
Meeting the person who
I love deeply has
a tremendous effect
on me. Suddenly, I am
more determined to be
who I want to be.

Second Half of 2008 Kickoff


Phew... half of 2008 is over ...


I expect the remaining of 2008 to
be busy as well... but in 2009
my workload will ease off
& I will reap my harvest

to be easy ... but I have

before

Vivian, Dengli and Jayce on
Sat night ... the last time
I went was several mths
back


it just strikes me that
I realli luv gg to Karaoke
or to the disco or to relax
@ the beach


I was nvr a workaholics
though some pple thot
I am ...


Cousin, Weepin, always
comment that I always
don have enuff time for
others


I acknowledge the value
of the comment & acutally
over the years I have
gradually cut down
on my tuition commitement
while maintaining
the same level of revenue


In the future, I expect some
returns from my long-term
investments ... the whole
point is to work less while
enjoying the same
quality of life

it has been like many mths
since we last me

still, it's a lot of fun and
laughter. Friendship
is about sharing the good
times and the bad
times together.


Without a lot, a lot of laughter,
true friendship don blossom;
tt wat i believe.


Most of all my close
frenzs all have a deep
sense of humour ...
tt is v valuable


since last July, some of
my existing friendship
have deepened ...
I have to say, it is
deeply satisfying

a lot of change have happened
ever since I met Phoenix ...
She was an inspiration
to me ...


In the process of knowing her
and sharing our times together...
I was v motivated to
be who I want to be and
to seek real happiness


She knows various aspects of
life tt I was oblivious to ...


"How do you forget someone
who helps u to be truly YOURSELF?
How do you forget someone
that helps you improve your life
greatly?
The answer is that it is not
always easy.


The other day I was tuning in
the radio, the dJ was mentioning
a fellow listener who commented
on one of the radio's weekly program

maybe it's because tt
I don fear loneliness so much...
tt y other than being sad
abt the whole incident,
I was v reluctant
to move on to
a new relationship ...
in fact, I detest the idea


but other aspects of my life
are improving on the time ...
so I just sense that
my life will slowly
go from good to excellent ...

for the coming soccer
season


Honestly, soccer player
are being paid too much ...
& all the $$$ come
from our pocket


I appreciate singer
more than soccer players ...
simply because they
are more cerebral &
they are more tune
with their thoughts


But supporting a club
is like being in love ...
there is no expiry
date when love is concerned
