World Cup 2006 / Driving Lesson/ Gatherings/

World Cup 2006 ended on the 11 July ...

the dark horse won ... the favourite
was knocked up by a bogey
team managed by Domenech

Domenech has got to be the LUCKIEST
manager at the World Cup

He is not tt fantastic ... nt tt
tactically astute ... nt the
type of manager
tt will spring surprise...
& NOT THE PERSON
U TINK WILL
LEAD FRANCE TO THE FINAL

but he did it ...

through blind faith in "nepotism" &
Zizou ...

in tt aspect, he's luckier den
erickson who is juz
as disillusioned as him but
ended up watching the
second half of the world
cup on the TV ...

I doubt erickson watched the remaining
of the World Cup though

I STILL SUPPORT FRANCE
NOT BECUZ OF CLUELESS
DOMENECH ... & NOT BECUZ
OF HENRY ...

Patrick Vieira is the real deal !!!

a warrior who has given

this world cup is quite an anti-climax;

I met up with Yihao & siff to
watch the world cup @ Liquid
Kitchen during
the Argentina vs Germany
match. There were
more Argentina fans there ...
it took us 45 minutes for
us to get a seat finally, tks to a nice
couple

The moment of the match
was seeing Lehmann
saved the penalty &
catapulted Germany to
the semi-final

This was a world cup for two
gladiators who believe in themselves -
Lehmann & Kilnsmann, my salute to u.

this year was always gg to

feel I had neglected them

the last week of June - July was
beautiful

It started with cousin Weina, 21th birthday
party ... most of her frenzs
were in school uniforms, the
theme of the party

Uniforms ... when was the
last time I wore uniform ??? ...
the best uniform of the nite was
still the SAJC uniform ...

SAJC uniforms got to be
the coolest !!!

the best thing abt the party
was the chocolate cake ...

nephew Nautilus was grinning
with delight ... if u
got the chance, watch a toddler
eats chocolate ... tt
sparkle in his
eyes is invaluable ...

LANA CAKES has been around
all this year, I only know
the shop is located in
Greenwood Avenue &
they serve better
chocolate cake then
POLAR

I LOVE CHOCOLATE A LOT
... but I have cut them down
a lot becuz of my acne
& my bad throat

I'm no connoisseur so I prefer
milk chocolate, I got a
sweet tooth ... so milk
chocolate suits me beta
den dark chocolate

When I was in belgium, I
bought 3 kg of chocolates ...
shops & shops all selling chocolate,
it was an amazing sight

Tt nite, my relatives even asked
my cousin to recommend
her classmates to me ...
tt really freaked me out ...
BIG TIME!!!

tt nite as I returned home, the
cab driver asked me whether I'm
attached as well ... beside the
question I was quite
impressed by the driver ...
he spoke with so much
wisdom & his voice
has a melodious quality
that cools & soothes your soul

the next day was special as well ...

I spent the body lazing in the sun,
soaking its warmth. The radiance
of the sun seemed to relax your

soul, evaporating all your
tiredness ... tt afternoon
I had my driving lesson
after a 4 months lapse

Driving shouldn't be tt difficult,
I think I'm juz nt gud
at it ... I think I lack a lot
of confidence & composure when
i'm behind the wheel

all too often, I have
been driving "with my
handbrake engaged" ... still, I
enjoy the experience

evening time, I met up with uni mates
Cheehong, Siangyong, BengHwee as well
as KianLeng ... it was like months
since we last met ... we used to meet
up so often, tt these lapses feel
v odd ...

I knew sometime I have to shoulder
some of the blame for
being too busy with my endeavour ...
but tt evening I was glad
tt we met up again

we went to watch "King & the Clown" &
the lead actor in the movie was
amazing, I thought he has
the facial features to be
quite a chio gal ...
see the poster & u will know what I mean

many, many more things have
happened in July, I will
write them ALL nxt time

Thursday, July 20, 2006 @ 7:19 PM Still at work !!! This week has got to be my busiest week at work ... Wed I was at work till 8:30pm It was pitch dark along the corridor when I left ... I reckoned no one was ard ... I'm still around on Thur @ 7:16 pm, I reckon I will knock off at 8:30 pm again This is the more siong research project I ever taken 4 days of actual experiment plus 2 days of prep work ... It's quite crazy ... The previous months I was busy trying to secure all the equipments for the experiments The hardest thing to get was a rubber stopper !!! The cheapest item is always the hardest ... tt is something I will always remember Last thursday, I went with Eugene & Wanying to IKEA, juz to try my luck on getting something that can double as my rubber stopper bumped into a lady at the GENT, Eugene was oblivious to her & the lady (a bit Tom-boy) seemed v nonchalant ... i thot to myself " She can't be a guy, CAN'T BE" & Eugene's gf confirm it outside the washroom in the end, IKEA din sell rubber stopper ... I walked into HOME FIX & after months of searches I found sth tt can fit ... it was like EUREKA !!! Other than tt the experimental designs were problematic ... it was complicated At times, I asked myself why I took the project??? Do I really love challenges tt much?? I donno when the project will be completed, I only know tt I don't like to quit what I started ... ________________________ this Saturday will be busy ... I need to work on Sat, & I had two gatherings as well ... It's gonna be fun ... pal Kwun-ho is back ... after 6 mths ... n I'm looking forward to Sat gathering honestly, everytime Kwun-ho came back, I will be down with flu or sth to tt extent ... It's really killjoy becuz our group cld have so much fun singing ... I hate singing when I'm sick so I hope my sore throat will go away ... if I have a wish ... I will change my DODGY throat nxt week, there are still plenty of gatherings so I donno how it will be like but I juz wish tt I don't get a flu !!! back to top?
