Right now ... I'm still

It has been lotsa fun these days ...
juz food & play & collecting angbao ...
without having to WORK!!!


gud times really PASS so FAST ...


the weather has been good, & I'm
still in a holiday mood


how's ur New Year ... on the first
day of New Year, I woke up @ 12pm,
after vegetarian meal, I was
@ the movie theatres with my relatives


Protege is gud ... Phoenix remarked tt
I liked Chinese movies a lot ... Not
really actually... if the actors
r gud, I will watch


Andy Lau, Louis Koo & Daniel Wu are
a dream combination & it's
produced by Singapore
v Own Raintree production


the cinematography is excellent& the
acting skills are top-notched ...
kudos to everyone in the show


I ate 2 New Year Dinner tt day ...
first teppanyaki at home den
dinner at Yuan Song's place


Yuan Song's mum really cooked a lot ...
let me tried to recall what was on the table ...
Steamed prawn, Fish, Chicken, Duck,
Chicken Nuggets, Wu xiang, Wonton Soap,
Abalone, Crabs, Veggie, Braised Dish...
i don remember all of them & I din
sample all of them


We went for a spin afterwards ... & eventually
we finished the nite with a movie
@ Woodlands


The movie was gud ... but at certain stage
I was struggling to stay awake


I enjoyed myself on first day of
New Year though I still thought
of Phoenix who is in Australia


Whenever I think of her, I ask her
to call me or we msn each other ...
sometimes I just look at pictures
of her & it will ease the pain


second day of new year is less hectic...
my relatives were at my hse
rather late, so I juz laze the
afternoon away ...


when everyone reached at night ...
I felt a deep sense of closeness... the
second day of new year is always
SPECIAL ...


I doubt anything can replace tt


tdy... I will go to 2 house n painian ...
gg to my former's place & eugene place
at night ...


tmr ... it's back to work ... arh!!!

Down Memory Lane


I am probably the last one left
in the building yet again ... I'm working till
9 pm today, so I still have got a while
more to go


It's 8pm now & the Monday of
the second week of Feb hasn't been rosy


This is supposed to be
quite a week ... Pheonix's leaving this week


I was looking forward to spending
a full day with Phoenix tmr, but
now it appears to go bust ...


I have everything worked up, so
i'm a bit gutted ... I arrived at
the workplace just wishing to
have my own personal space
& I just kept bumping
into pple who started
chatting with me ...


I'm a bit jaded ... a tad
disappointed & I feel like
crying foul ...


ym sent me an email
attachment a couple of years
back ... I keep it
till today ... there was a text in the attachment
which I couldn't forget... "What would
you do if every time you fell
in love you had to say goodbye"


I just feel v lousy thinking abt this; I wished
I could
flush away tt
sentence away from my
memory & rid it of its
existence ...


Still, I feel I have grown much
ever since I graduated ...
worklife has been v v v busy,
& only satisfying in patches & knowing
Phoenix fills
my days with much splendour

I have been averaging about 4-5 hours of
sleep ... & everyday is just not
enough


Strangely, I'm still quite energetic &
I don dread the passing of each day


I suppose anything else is better
than being in the army ...


now I'm slowly looking forward to the
new year ... as a child, the
best thing about new
year is tt there
is so much food & laughter ...


now I still look forward to New Year,
still look forward to
munching all the goodies ...
cuttlefish & love letters r my
favourite ... usually by the second
day of new year, most of the goodies
in my house will be gone ...


this year I reckon I will be doing
a couple of painian ... my former
boss's hse usually has lotsa goodies ...
he bought things by the bulk ...
& he kept saying "Eat, eat & eat"


Yuansong, sinwah & Jayce will most prob
come to my house on the second day
of New Year, usually, I din invite
a lot of pple to my hse on the
second day of New Year as
I feared my frenz will be neglected


I bumped into Keith while I was shopping
@ Chinatown the other day, it was
pure coincidence... I was just walking den
suddenly I looked to my left & he was
standing beside me ... I haven
met him for a long time ...

I was looking through some of my older posts,
my first post to be exact. Tt was
way back in 2004 ... come to think
abt it , it wasn't v readable


there wasn't any paragraphing & it's just
one whole paragraph full of words


I started blogging when I was in
Sweden ... the life there
is just so condusive for R & R


come to think about it, more than
2 years had passed ...


keeping an online diary is not
bad after all ... at least it
reminds me of all
the nice details tt happened once ...
I read it with a smile on my face


it's reaching 9pm, I'm onto my final
phase of my experiment ...

January is over!


Just before you know it. January is OVER!!!


I haven been writing for a long, long while
so I will do just tt now...


It's abt 8 pm & I'm still at the lab ...
this year I promised to work hard, so
I have been working overtime
occasionally


Boss put it in an indirect way ...
but the msg is - work hard
now rather than later ...

Jan is quite good ... surprisingly so
much has happened in Jan ...


It seemed like a long time, like
a few months compressed together ...


I spent my first afternoon of the year
with Phoenix ... We were @ Sunset
Bay & I struggled to find the place
which I wanted to bring her to ... Phoenix
is v sporty so she still smile
even though we were walking for a long time

It rained a bit & I took a picture
of her for the first time in daylight

I couldn't remember what we talked abt;
I only remember tt I enjoyed every
moment of it ... looking at her eyes,
hearing her voice & enjoying her laughter


I took my powerboat course on the first
week of Jan ... the first Sat ... the weather
was good, BUT the lesson was conducted
in the classroom


I havent met up with Dick for quite
a while, so attending the powerboat
course together was good ...


The theory lesson was inspiring ... but the
practical lesson was v fun !!!


Driving a boat is much easier than
driving a car ...


(1) You have to check blind spot
(2) There are no traffic lights, filter lanes
or other problematic stuff
(3) Your engine won't stall


However, it was hard to berth the boat ...
there were 4 to a boat & by the time
we were berthing the boat, most
of our enthusiasm has evaporated


It doesn't seem v hard ...
but it takes time to get it right


The instructor "threatened" to make
us repeat the course if we
didn't get it right on the last trial ...
in the end, of course everyone
cleared the course


There's still the theory &
the practical exam to go
before I can get the license


My driving exam is in March ...
I'm not going to take up any
other new courses in 2007 ...


Driving in Singapore is expensive ...
learning to drive is also
expensive ... it makes perfect sense
though ... if u can't afford
the $$$ to learn, u definitely
can't afford the $$$ to buy a car ...


the second week of Jan I finally
got to go to the movie with Phoenix ...
it was in Aug 2006 when
I first asked her out for a movie


We watched
"Confession of Pain" together. I liked
"Confession ..." a lot, even though
pple expected more from
Andrew Lau & the star-studded
casting of Tony Leung & Takeshi Kaneshiro


I must say they are a dream cast & it's
every director's dream to
work with them


What I like about "Confession" is
its simplicity & the silent impact
it has on viewers. Some expect
the story to have more bite ...
in retrospect, I think giving
the story more complexity will
ruin the original intention of the movie


Jan is too fast for my liking ... I have
been working v hard at the workplace
so that I will have results by late March, just
in time for my presentation ...


last year my experiments weren't working ...
it was a hard project to begin with
& I have no prior experience ...
still, work doesn't really depress me, things
will eventually sort itself out


In Feb, Phoenix will leave for Australia ...
I remember how I used to look forward to
seeing her coming down to the experimental
block once every week ... those were
v satisfying moments, things that
really make your day


After Feb, I told her I will miss her a lot
& I WILL ... but I will be very
busy too so I won't be in so much
pain


still, I'm glad tt we are closer
now when we might juz be
acquaintance ... the future, really,
nobody knows what will happen
or what twists and turns it might take

Chinese New Year is coming & I haven't buy
any new clothes yet ...


for the first time this year, I am not
really anticipitating its arrival ... maybe
tt y before I know it ... CNY is here


When CNY arrives, it means I am
weeks away from being grilled
at the seminar & Phoenix will be off
to Australia


Still, I reckon it will be fun ...
with $$$, glorious foods & snacks & lotsa
gathering ... things will be rosy ...
so just enjoy the moments ...
