Busy period 1 coming to an end!!!


I have been really busy for the past few months of 2007, so
I'm looking forward to the mid of April


But before that I will have
to be contented with my fair
share of workload


March 26: Driving test
March 26: MCB CA
April 10: Project Presentation
April 17: MCB Final Exam
Third Week April: Powercraft Theory test


Over the months, my driving skills have
improved alot ... with a bit
of luck, I might pass


I remember being scolded during
my first few driving lessons ...
that was about a year ago...
at that time, my driving
instructor was an Indian guy


He thought me a couple of lessons
& though I think he's darn impatient,
his instruction is v clear


In the beginning it was tough becuz
I just din have the feel for it

I took a long time to develop
a feel for something ...
sometimes it's a couple of months, at times
it takes years


For the last 3 mths, instructor Tan has
been my fixed instructor ... my first impression of
him was tt he looked quite bochap...
but when he is coaching students, he
is dead serious...


Instructor Tan has got to be one
of the better instructor at SSDC ...
the best thing about him is his
dedication to the job; he could point up
all the mistakes I made & the location
where I made it ... I was
DEAD impressed


So I'm gratified to be taught by him ...
on my last lesson he just said "Let me
know whether you pass after the test" ...
"It's oki if u don msg me, just rmb
to be a SAFE driver"


I HOPE to pass on the first time ...

Finally, I'm finishing the last module
of molecular cell biology


I have been taking some sort of
cell biology modules since the first
day I started studying in
NUS


Do I like it??? of cuz not...


It's a pain because
(1) it's take a genius to really
teach a dry topic like
cell biology well


I find most lecturers a turn-off ...
they just rant on and on ...


But I'm glad, it's the end ... the
thought of it just makes me
feels so MOTIVATED
in studying the module
I will pass it & END OF STORY!!!


so all in All ... I'm looking forward to April ...
after April, I will
commit more time to my
research ... I aim to publish one
paper by the end of the year


In the second half of the year, when
the sun is out... I will BRING my
blades to ECP... it has been a LONG
time

since the start of the year, I have
been reading lotsa of
listed companies' financial statement


I'm quite good with figures & somehow
I enjoy reading financial reports


I struggle a bit with things like
amortisation, depreciation, EPS, ROE ...
all those numbers look foreign to me
initially, but now ... CHICKEN FEET


The stock market is doing too well so
I reckon it's not a good time
to buy ... I reckon the market
correction will come in June ... den
it's time to BUY!!!


I luv China stocks but they are
over-valued ... so we shall see

I picked up my new Sennheiser earphones yst...
it's good stuff ... the bass is excellent ...
it's thumping in ur ears & it's like
being delivered onto the dance floor


I'm exaggerating a bit ... but finally
there exists a pair of earphones
that do justice to Fiong Fung's "Proud of U"


The best thing is: I bought it
at a price of $30 over Yahoo's auction !!!
Yahoo's auction gonna be one
of the best invention; I have
bought my mobile, skype phones
from the auction site & they are
functioning well

I was sick again on Thursday ...
still feeling v lethargic now &
I still got driving later

I'm getting a sick of driving nowadays ...
it's all the tiny details tt get onto
my nerve... like checking blind
spot & stuff lidat ... v sian lor


I hope to pass the first time ...
cuz it's a dread to spend my sat
learning driving ... I want to BLADE


honestly, I'm not v confident abt
passing the first time. My standard is
such that, with a bit of luck, I MIGHT
just make it ... tt's my standard for now


let's see how ... Monday, 26 March will be a BIG DAY then.
my molecular biology CA falls on tt day ...
without any warning ... they just put
a notice on ivle ... n TT's the CA date ...
but better then doing
some crappy term paper...


I hate doing term paper ... I don mind
taking CA ... cuz it's less time consuming
than doing term paper ...


It's a drag doing a term paper on
something that is like so SLEEP-INDUCING ...

On sunday, I watched RAIN's 'I'm a Cyborg, but
tt's ok' ... it's the strange movie ...
at times, it feels really like being
transported into a mental
hospital


v well-made, but still a Strange movie ...


A few days before, I watched Almodovar's 'Volver'...
I'm always amazed after watching Almodovar's work ...
his work is complex yet his film's direction is
smooth ... BEAUTIFUL!!!


Almodovar got to be a genius ... 'Talk to Her' is
v sentimental; 'Volver' is more
cerebral & depicts the strength, ambivalence
& difficulty of women in his fictional world

I bought my fourth Levi's top on Sunday ...
the top just fits me PERFECTLY &
IT's GREEN ... I haven't buy a lot
of clothes for a long time


Since working, I'm more prudent with
my $$$ ... becuz working life is juz
nt tt easy ...


I'm waiting for my Sennheiser's earpiece to
be sent to my house ... I hope the BASS
is good!!! Tt should be the end of my
MARCH Shopping ...

I still can't blog regularly


It's hard to blog regularly nowadays. My last
blog was some three weeks ago, the Chinese
New Year.


Today, my house's new year goodies
are almost finished ... there are
still some love letters left but the
good stuff are all gone


Pick of the goodies are
the bak kwa & the cuttlefish ...
once u munch, u can't stop


After the CNY there was
the task of getting the working engine
started, it's not easy especially
I was still thinking of Phoenix


I still miss her dearly ...
but thankfully there is
skype & phone call rates
are very competitive


I bought a Skype phone some 2 weeks back ...
a second hand purchase from Yahoo...
I was surprised the owner was in his 40s


He gave me a couple of days of waranty
but the device works all right ...


I ran on the fourth day of Chinese New Year...
the last time I ran that far & fast was like
many years back ... so I was surprised
tt I din struggle a lot


I'm aiming for the year end
Standard Chartered 21 km run ...


On the sixth day of CNY, I was down
with sorethroat & then flu ... but
my medical bill din cost tt much ...


It's only $20 for 2 visits ... the doctor
was gud & he din charge me
consultation fee the second time


the best thing i like about the doctor
is tt he prescribed the RIGHT medicine
... I usually healed one or two days
after seeing him


He don't talk a lot, but he's v efficient


I will end abruptly here ... time to get to
bed ... will write again soon, i hope.
