Stand Chart Marathon 2008


this year marathon has more
participants than last year


unlike last year, I din
train much for the 21 km
run


partly I was nursing a injury ...
but I was also keen
to test whether
I can still keep within
the same time as last
year without
trg


so it was an experimental
run ...


the best part is to bump
into a couple of frenzs
during & after the
run


I started rather late
becuz I was waiting
for Wenfu & I just
couldn't seem to find him


I have quite painful muscle
cramp the night after the
marathon but
surprisingly it heals within
a day


So the experiment was a success


Nxt year, I gonna run
the 4 X 10 km run ... running
is quite an individualist sport
& a lot of pple are obessed
abt the timing ... I'm
more obessed abt
having fun ... the camaraderie
tt a team event nurtured
is more meaningful to me

December is cool cuz I really
got to relax & I don
really have to
work ultra-hard


the weather so far has been
excellent ... there is both
good & bad weather
in a single day


my frenzs were late for
dinner last Friday so
I wandered ard frm
Paragon to HMV


there was this choc booth
at HMV & the lady
was asking me
to sample the choc ...


the first mouthful
was a surprise ... it was
v good !!! like I was

transported back to Brugges


she told me ... the shop
was a JV between her
boss and a belgian
chef ...


I think it's v good ... so
I bought
250 gm


Nowadays, I don get so
excited abt food ...
but on days whereby
my tastebuds sense
sth unique ... I
still get as excited ... though
such days are rare


Enjoying chocolate is a sensual
experience worth
living for

I nvr thot Dec will be so busy ...
but it turns up to be exactly so


on one of the Sat, Junwei brought
me and Vivian to urban skate ...
urban skate is v fun, but
it's v difficult especially
the stretch from ECP to Bedok


den at the traffic junction, it's
always tricky because
all the small holes juz
at the edge of the pavement ...


I have been away for bladeing
for so long, but I guess
I still have passion for it ...
it's still v fun ... becuz there's
always sth new to learn ... sth
to improve


I'm v grateful though tt
Junwei is there to teach me ...
if not for his passion, i think
I will still be there
not picking up the sport


I think I will continue bladeing
for a long time

met up with uni pals, Leo & Vivien,
a few days prior to Christmas.


Incredibly, we haven met for at least a year.


Still, it's like there still
a lot of laughter, a lot
of fun, like we were still
schooling.


The evening just passed away v
quickly ... guess we should
meet up more often

I asked Shuting what she felt
abt the Christmas deco this yr
& she said tt the atmosphere
somehow is dampened by
the economic crisis


I think this year Christmas deco is
good ... it's v simple but
I think it's beautiful enuff


This year I din spend Christmas Eve
with the usual gp ... but
for the past 4 years
it has been fun


As for me, I'm surprised to receive
Christmas presents this year!!!

Overall Dec is good ... it doesnt
rain tt much ... & I got
to meet lotsa frenzs &
even got chance to
blade ... 2008 really
really has been great although
it has been really tough ...
I think 2009 will be even
better!!!!
