Week 2 Started with a Success!!


It was v late tt I decided to defer
my reservist. I thot boss's
response was strange
when I told him
abt my intention


The response was neutral, when
I thot was juz not wat I
expected. He told
me tt the chance
for deferment
was nt v high


The unit told me my application was
v really, mindef told me
it takes 14 working
days ...


I was calculating how much
time I have for my proj
& I think the smartest
thing to do was to defer

On 11 Jan, I reported to camp, it
was nice to meet up with
Clinton, Jeff and David.
A couple of pals have
deferred


When it was time to sign the
attendance, my name wasn't
there ... BinGo ... I can
go back to work nxt
day

Week 1 was really nothing much ...
nt much social activity
except for organising
HL's birthday


& watching Avatar


Avatar is technically v gud ...
but the storyline is
not really fantastic


but the 3D is awesome ...
at first I thot the
spec is for us
to keep which
will end up
in the dustbin anyway


wearing the 3D spect for 2 hr
45 minutes is actually
quite tiring ... me &
vian took it off
a couple of times thru
the show ...


tt Sat evening, after HL's
birthday celebration
we were thinking
of catching Hugh Grant's
comedy


haven't watch a comedy for so
long ... but in the end
we just chatted n
discussed who is to
organise the crab dining
gathering

Anyway, this year I will be
finishing my work & leaving
after 8 years of NUS


the thot of it made
me feel a tinge of
sadness ... but
I'm really
happy to leave


a lot had happened which
make me think
abt my life in
general


my colleagues have been
really v fantastic, but
maybe they din
see the fun, crazy side
of me; it's hard
because at work I
am too focus to
be efficient so tt
I have more time
for leisure

2009 finished just lidat.


I'm a bit reluctant to say goodbye to 2009;
I have never worked so hard. Now
I believe actualli I can
work this hard.


My frenzs & colleagues said
my definition of hard
work is diff frm them ...
for me my hard work
is their normal work ...


Went over to St James for
the countdown. There
were 8 of us, so it was
much less than the
Christmas Party...


But the countdown was more
fun den the Christmas Party ...
I'm bias though cuz
put me in a disco &
I will really, really
enjoy it


the live band & performance
was gud & one of singer
was gorgeous; she
got great voice & she
danced well


we were discussing on the new
year resolution ... & Dengli
said her resolution
was to lie low for the new
year ... tt is realli
the most crappiest
resolution I heard ...


for me, my resolution is simple.
To finish up my thesis. Tt
will be a very, very sweet
dream come true ...


Throughout this 4 years, I
nvr realli see the light
at the end of the tunnel;
after a while u don
care whether there's light,
u just walk & walk &
walk, knowing tt
is the best way


the rest of them, I din manage
to ask them abt their
resolution, maybe I
will ask them this

it was impossible to call
a cab; at 2:30 the lines
were all busy ...
Dengli "begged" one of the
cab driver who was changing
shift to ferry us to Lavender
for supper


Overall it was fun, but I think
it will be even more fun
with KK ard, but I nvr
party with him
before

camera; seem to work
v well at nite ...
