Passion & Addiction


I was thinking abt addiction &
den I thought abt passion ...
they are quite different thing but
the similarity lies in the
desire that is present in
both instances are extremely
strong


One can work in a job without having
any passion in it but one have less
control over addiction


I think if I were to smoke, I will probably
have bad breadth, spoke a
box a day & wishing to stop but can't


The worst addiction though is gambling.
My hairstylist & her husband lost $4k in
just one day at resort world. She was relating it to me


She:"we were actually thinking about where to eat
with our winnings ... den after tt
we just kept losing"

Me: "so where do u all eat after the massive loss?"

She: "at the coffeeshop downstairs"


She is not addicted to it though. But some pple
gamble for the adrenaline I don't get the kick
from gambling ... there was once I
made $2k from stock in one day,
but I was just happy nt really
ecstatic ... intra-day trading is not quite my
thing...

under good control! I
think it works better than accutane.
Long term, this cleanser is more

expensive than accutane, but
u really won't want to
take accutane long term.


Divine skin, the company that
sells the product also
have products for hair loss.
The great thing about the company
is that they seem to constantly
fine-tune their product now and
then to make it even
better & after fine-tuning
it, they never try to sell
it at a "new" but more
expensive product.


The company is a class act. But
I will stop here heh

The World Cup started but
my passion for world
cup football has
decreased with the years


2002 was amazing for South Korea,
I remember following it v closely ...


I don't remember much of 2006 except
tt I was glad Jens Lehmann save
the penalty against Argentina.
Jens is a legend, one of Wenger
greatest buy.


He's fiery, but he got great, great
belief. At that time, no one
thought he can displace
Oliver Kahn. The rest
was history, really.


I still support Arsenal a lot. In fact,
it is like an addiction. The first
thing I check in the morning
is Arsenal-related news.


My interest grow gradually until
one day I realise it has became
part of my life.


Some of my female friends said
tt guys are more loyal to
the club they support
than to their partners


My retort was this "If you
only have a pair of shoes &
it's unbearably painful on
your feet & this pain
doesn't seem to go away
with prolong wear, do
u still want to wear it?


Being loyal to a club is like
going to the theatre. Sometimes
you watch crap show & you
think tt it's a waste of money, but
eventually u go back again, becuz
u think the next time things will be
different.


If the club loses & u feel really painful,
then you just don't read the news
& prolong the pain. But if
a relationship brings u lotsa
anguish ... u can't really
switch off unless u
end it permanently.

Played badminton with a couple of
friends on Sat. The badminton
gang is expanding!


I am still not as good in badminton.
My motor skill is defnitely not
as gud as some of my friends
like KK & Junwei.


Junwei got v v good motor skills,
he can blade much better
than me even when he
is injured. Then of course, he can't

be my teacher for nothing.


It must have been a year since
I was in East Coast Park.


After I completed my thesis, I will
really want to take a break. By end of this
year my students will all graduate with
their 'O' and 'A'. I have coached 2 of
them for 6 years. Ever since, I
graduated, this was like a part
of my job.


When you watch your students mature
over the years, it's a very
gratifying experience.


Then you watch them become
more emotionally stable &
motivated to do well. Tt is
very deeply satisfying.

Just this morning, through the
recommendation
of a friend, I manage to secure
a new assignment. Tt will start
in August. The rate is ok &
the father sounds very nice. The
conversation was funny & mabbe
consider a tad embarassing for
some ... I'm ok with it though ...


Me: "Hi, May I know who called me just now?"

Yihao: "Hi, I called, I'm Yihao"

Then I thought this guy really sounds like
my friend Soon Chye ... & he used to
call me last time & impersonates ...
plus he seem to have multiple number
so I say

Me: "Don't bluff lah, I know you
are Soon Chye"

Yihao: "No, no. I'm not bluffing. I'm calling
you regarding the tuition ....."

Me: "Don bluff lah." ...

I apologise soon after. It sounds pretty
rude right?

Still v happy to have got the assignment,
this will help to balance the book until
I find a new job.

I can't wait to graduate. Although, research
was something I like to try. This
few years feel very strange
for me.


Still, I am very optimistic & very
hopeful that good times will come.
Things always happen together,
the good stuff and the bad
stuff.


I have some business ideas so
maybe I will think of how to
implement it. If I can
be a success entrepreneur for
a part of my life, I will be
quite contented to retire
& be a permanent
tutor.
