Elva's latest album after 'Diamond Candy'
The music video for 'Ms Cool' is easily one
of the most expensive asian MTV. It's
great stuff, the 720 degree view
is awesome. Someone commented
tt there were shadows of Gaga
in the MTV. Perhaps there
is but only a small segment of
the video, which is no big
deal. As a whole, it's
very much a unique
MTV and there has
to be no argument abt it.
'Ms Cool' is a techno-pop. Techno
& Chinese music doesn't usually
go hand in hand. Methinks,
techno is one of the best
music invention & 'Ms
Cool' is a wondrous fusion
of techno & mando-pop.
Love It. The sort of production
tt will make pple go 'Wow'.
Whether pple will accept 'Ms Cool' is
another thing. Mandopop is generally quite
conservative and more gear towards songs tt are sentimental.
When record companies come up with
MTV like the one for '錯的人'; the critics
will start & say that mando MTVs and songs
are predictable & boring.
'錯的人' with music & lyrics by
Kenji Wu is a well-written song. Like a
story, the song guides you through
the emotion in a masterful manner;
very well composed.
'錯的人' is the type of song that
is tailored for Elva. The sensual
quality of her voice expresses
the song v well. The song is quite emotive
and reminds me of
'坦白' in the previous album.
OutKast seems to take forever
to release their album. The wait
for Elva's latest album in contrast, is
surprisingly short; but
perhaps the quality is
not discounted. Can't
wait to get it when
it's out in the store. Great job! Elva.

It's near September & yet my
thesis completion is still stuck
at 70%.
There was basically no progress
in September. Most of the
time was spent on
doing lab work, another portion
on writing paper & still the remaining
portion on tuition preparation
work.
It's actually quite vexing when
pple start asking me abt
the progress & remarking
why it takes so long. If I can
speed things out, I will
be more than happy.
The two bottlenecks are the experiments
and the papers.
I just hope I can sit down peacefully to
write all my stuff from the last week
of October. Then I will really see
real progress ...
The number of students I have has
suddenly increased in October.
I have one IP student, two 'O' Level
students, one 'A' Level student
and one sec 3 student.
Twelve years of tuition is a long time.
But tuition for me has always
been a part-time job. For me,
it feels really weird to be
teaching full-time cuz
I have not really been
a proper student.
I daydream a lot & don really
do assignments. I get by
most of the time because
I don't want to 'lose'.

The ridiculous weather has continued &
I got my third bout of flu for the
year.
It probably sounds ridiculous but this
has nothing to do with my body
being weak. My respiratory
tract is the only weak link.
Unless I can re-engineer
the tract, guess I have
to live with it.
Talking about re-engineering
I chanced upon renowned hypnotist,
Bruce Goldberg's website the other day. Depending
on whether you are a believer, he has
perform a lot of future progressions
for many individuals & there was
an article documenting how the future
will be like
Pretty interesting stuff. By the 22th century,
AIDs and cancer will finally be cured! At the
end of this century, social behaviour will have
improved & things like racism will no longer
be present. Solar energy will be a norm next
century & in the further future nuclear energy.
There are more interesting stuff but I can't
remember.
This year weather is as weird as it gets.
If it gets any weirder, how about
snowing in Singapore. If tt happens,
winter wear sales will be buzzing.
You will probably see winter
wear shops ballooning like
bubble tea shop.
Some bosses will probably talk
abt listing their winterwear company.
But if this happens, I bet oil
price will rise as well ... certainly
not a gud thing.
I hope there will be a year whereby
I will be illness free ... so far it
hasn't happen; the day it happens
flu will probably be extinct from
this world ... might happen, but
maybe not in my life time.

Arsenal has got off to a very weird
start. Not too bad but
not too good either.
Risking on the future can be a risky
thing because first you don't
know when it's going to arrive. Then
'popular wisdom' also tells you that
you have to stomach all the hardship
meanwhile. BUT, what if
the future never arrive!
The BUT is not a black swan, it
can happen. So, Arsenal Wenger
habit of collecting goalkeeper
is tricky stuff

No.1

No. 2

No. 3

No. 4
4 goalkeepers yet none of them
can be trusted. It makes
more of sense to have
two good ones. Two
is good enough.
4 good or 4 bad doesn't make
any sense.
Someone mention the one with
real potential is the No. 4. But
seriously, does it make
sense to use a cheap lock
for the front door while
saving up to buy the
ultimate lock which the
SALESMAN says is
the best!
I won't do such a deal. It's ok
to blood young player but
goalkeeper is a different
thing altogether. Every
mistake a keeper makes
is magnified.
Still, supporting a team is like
being with a partner. Usually,
you stick with it through thick
& thin. There are fundamental
difference though; your partner
can ditch you but a football
club won't ditch your support.
