Sodagreen concert, Dec 11 2010
After missing Elva Hsiao and Da Mouth's mini
concert, I'm not gg to miss Sodagreen.
I've never attend a band concert before, so it's
quite a novel experience. But, to me
Sodagreen is a lot abt Qing Feng.
He has a wide vocal range
although the tone of his
voice is nt quite masculine. Still,
his voice is very unique
& beautiful.
Just a pity, the guitarist won't be around.

I finally have more personal time,
after working hard for the past 2 mths.
September to October was hell.
After working in the lab for 5 years, I hope
things will come to an end soon.
It's pretty weird how I manage
to spend the past 5 years
working in the lab. It has
never been easy.
The worst experience was in
2007 when all my cells were
killed after the fridge was
down again. Tt month was also
bad relationship-wise.
A month later, the stock market
crashed.
Lab is challenging but I don't derive
much happiness from it. In science,
people work very, very hard &
they expect you to do the same (my
boss has been very understanding
though). I don advocate laziness
but working extremely hard is just
a lousy habit.
I learn a lot from lab, but I am the restless type,
so I feel a strong urge to move on.
After I submit my thesis & clear all the
loose ends, its adios (hopefully).
Nxt year, I will probably have ONLY one tuition
session per week. Tt will be awesome &
I guess I will probably have more time
for leisure, to pick up new
hobbies & think abt new venture.
The other day, I was delivering my farewell
'speech' to my student of 6 years. There
is a bit of emotion on the thought
of leaving after 6 years. The
family has treated me very, very well &
that has always left me feeling v touched. I
think there's nothing more you can ask for in
an employer.
In total, I have 15 students and another
4-6 classes in my 12 years of tuition.
When I first started tuition, I didn't know
I will stay so long in it. I also didn't
know that the income can be v
attractive. But I was confident
tt I will be a decent tutor.
My nxt career will be the same, it has to
be sth which I feel I can do a great
job. When the confidence is there, most
of the time u can derive max results
from minimum effort.

I have a stiff neck for most of the year. So I
have tired everything I could lay
my hand on to solve the problem.
The best pillow in the market.

or plaster or heat rub.

Nothing seem to be working. Tempur pillow
is good stuff, but it doesn't solve my problem.
The heat rub & plaster only provide temp
relieve.
I went to an acupuncturist as a last resort.
The worst part of the procedures is the
last stage when she used a suction
tool on each of the needle spot. Tt
is very painful.
It relieves the pain for 2 days, & then
the same problem is back again.
Neck pain is a bit like the daily worries one
has. It's tolerable but it's sucks most
of your energy away.
Spending $30 for a two day relief doesn't
make much economic sense, so after
one week, I quit accupuncture.
So I went back to plaster which doesn't
offer much but it's a cheaper alternative.
While getting the plaster, I saw an
interesting device .
Denshiban. It's
basically a magnetic disc tt is
supposed to generate the magnetic force
to stimulate blood circulation.
Does this thing really works? I bought
it anyway. I have one of the best
night sleep yesterday, so
this product has pass
test #1.
Rule #1: If something is really cheap, give it
a try. Cheap thing is not necessary bad. The
same for stock!! In the stock market,
always remember this, BUY
LOW, SELL HIGH. BUY
HIGH, SELL HIGHER
works but it's for
more experienced personnel.
If Denshiban really works, I am going to
the shop a week later & buy out
all their Denshiban!!!
