December arrives!!!
was back in school for the first time in 2.5 weeks.
The feeling is pretty strange. But after
been at home for a single day &
really feeling the stress,
yst feels rather
liberating.
Larry popped in at my lab & then we
started chatting abt smartphones. At the
moment, iPhone is clearly ahead.
I prefer the design of iPhone4 as
compared to the earlier versions.
It's impossible to get it at store
now which is due to its
popularity as well as Apple
mantra of needing to control
both the hardware & software
of the phone.
(*The previous line sounds so like I'm writing
my thesis; describing, analysing & accounting.
V bad habit!!)
It is a fatter profit but I think the
strategy really won't work in
the long run. No doubt, Apple
will have a cult following, but
when the advantage of having loads
of applications in the store will slowly
be gone.
I saw cousin Doris, Galaxy S, the other day.
The screen is magnificent & it loks
better than iPhone 4. But I don't
think you buy a phone just for
the screen.
As for me, I'm very pleased with my
phone of low IQ. It's enough for me.
I have particular sentiment for the
asset I own, even if it don't do
its job well.
Luckily I'm not a tech geek, it's an
expensive hobby. My hobby is
looking at beautiful things &
people. Luckily, I don't
have a huge urge to
own them.
Although, it's counterintuitve, owning
thing take the beauty & enjoyment
out of it. When you own a beautiful car,
you watch it degrade & depreciate in
front of your own eyes. You are
concerned about the scratches but
scratches are really
unavoidable.

In the next two days, I will wrap up two
more chapters of my thesis. The best
part is the second hardest portion
of the thesis is going to
be over.
Tt is really a very, very great feeling.
Yippie. The last two portions
are easier to write, I have
the basic concepts in
my mind.
While writing thesis, ppstream remains
my best entertainment device for
those dull moments. It's really
solid.
there is drama, movies ... & even
arthouse movies. It is miles
better than tudou & there
is no peak-hour jam
if you get what I
mean.
