2 months away from blogging
Time really flies. I have not blogging for about
2 months. I still blogging but I was busy
with lotsa things for the past 2 months.
If I have the means, I hope time will
slow down. I still feel there is a lot
of things that I wish to do &
always hope that I can more
things in a week.
This year has been pretty good. I no
longer have to work like mad in
the lab & I do not have to
give tuition on Friday
evening.
For me Friday evening is special & I could
prefer to either spend my time dining,
at the movies, pub or disco. But for the
past few years, I wasn't able to do it.
So I have been really enjoying the
first half of 2011. Every month
has a different flavor to it so
for the first time in years
I have never been
bored.

After a review of my 2 months old blogsite,
I have decided to stop working on it
even though I still have 10 months
of subscription left.
What I have learnt from my postgraduate
& investment days is that sometimes
it is smarter to draw a line and
move on.
It's not a hard and fast rules and persisting
at all cost is sometimes not the best
approach to things.
In 2 months, I have written 27 articles. It took
me 2 years to write 32 articles for my
former korean website. But I feel
that eventually my blogsite will
face the same problem as my
Korean website, so I have
decided to give out
sooner than later.
Making a mistake is pretty normal but
repeating one is not the most
intelligent thing.
At least this will free my time for me to
work on my pet project which I hope
to launch it next year.

In May I have decided to stop trying
to cure my neck pain the cheap
way.
In May, I started seeing a chiropractor
& in June I recruited a myotherapist
into my 'neck pain troubleshooting
team'.
Chiropractor, Su-yi, is a nice lady.
She might seem cold but she
is actually very friendly.
The effect of spinal adjustment on
my neck pain is rather subtle.
But my whole body has response
very well to the treatment; my
indigestion and bloated stomach
issues have disappeared.
Su-yi also performed soft tissue
therapy on me. Essentially,
it is like pressing hard on the
region of the body that is
very strained. It is rather
painful.
After weeks of treatment, I thought
perhaps I should look for a
therapist that specialises
in soft tissue therapy
to speed up neck
pain.
My first treatment with the myotherapist
was hell. Dr Shu is so good that he
could pinpoint the exact region
when he could trigger pain
by pressing.
Every part that he touched delivered
an intense pain that was just
barely manageable. I thought
to myself "my body is seriously
in need of massive overhaul'.
Myotherapy is much more painful
as compared to vaccination, cupping
or acupuncture. The effects are good
though. After 2 sessions, I really felt
much better; I have this feeling that
my 1.5 years of neck pain is going to
be over.
Every week I spent more than $200 just
to 'overhaul' my body. It sounds like
a lot of $$$, but I have seriously
been 'abusing' my body
for the past 5 years.
The way I have been working during my
postgraudate years is simply not
sustainable. The pain that I have
got is just what I deserved!
Anyway, I'm really glad that I have been
flu-free for 6 months. It sounds pathetic
for me to even highlight this. But for
years, my body was just ill-prone
that I could get a flu every
4 months. When the
weather changes, I knew I'm going
to get the flu again.
Still, whenever I returned back to the lab,
I realise my energy lab could drop automatically.
My frenzs say that they were surprised that I
have so many complaints about lab after all
I am someone who don't complain a lot.
I am also surprised that I have so much
frustrations as well. Things really were not
smooth and I was doing a lot of things
that I don't like. Sometimes I feel
that I have lost my creative
sparks and that I am just
a robot, but a very
poor one.

In June, my Bhutan's frenzs were in town.
Thinlay is my penpal many years ago.
Ever since the internet has invaded our life,
having a penpal sounds like a stone-age
things.
It is really by chance that she manage to
contact me again. I am the not the
most dedicated host but I make
sure they can settle down
pretty fast.
I guess their lifestyle is very much different
from us, so it took me quite a while to
really understand them.
They are extremely laid-back so it is quite
an eye-opener. They are however very
genuine people.
They like spicy stuff and I reckon that
they really can't do without rice.
Thinlay is however very adept at
reading the map. For a girl,
I think she is a genius.
