Acuvue 2 moist/ Insurance/ Stocks &
Investments/Great Singapore Sale/
World Cup/ Interview

on a Sat morning, I spent close to $170
at the local marketplace...
I don't recall spending so much
in the past few months

Acuve 2 Moist + my standard
contacts len costs $150 ...

I always have a weakness
for contact lens
advertisement

so when colleague Karen
told me abt the new lenses, I juz
nod my head

I can't believe tt I actually
bought it a few days later

I juz hope it works on my eye ...
with the one day Acuvue, I can
go to work & watch movies
after tt without getting
red eyes

or wat pple say tiring eyes

anyway I always think
contact len is
a simple but miraculous
invention

& I always love
contact len advertisement ...
nt the one on TV but
those on printed
media

they appeal to your
aesthetics ... but doesn't
appeal to your wallet

still, everyone has an
internal fraility ... I'm nt
spare either
.....................................................

Pingting "scolded" me for
nt trading my fone

I have serious doubts abt
my Nokia 3230 ... it
had caused me enuff
misery ... so I don
wan to sell it to
anyone unlucky enuff
to own it

sounds stupid to some ... but
I have decided I will
just write off the loss ...
end of story !!!

finally I have signed out for
an insurance policy
after deliberating for
a couple of mths

regardless of whatever
company ... most policy are abt
the same ...

Rule #1: The more you pay, the
better coverage u have

Rule #2: Don't think about the
$$$ lost paying premium ...
if u care so much abt the $$$ lost
den insurance is not ur cup of tea

I was tempted to buy my plan frm AIA ...
becuz it's number one in the
STATES

in the end I settled for HSBC ...
for mom's sake

for now, I have reached my financial goals
for the first half

I told mom I wanted to invest in
stocks nxt year

I juz like numbers & I like to
analyze ... if I wasn't in
research line ... I will
LOVE to be a fund manager

but honestly I'm a naive
when it comes to judging what
people says ... I rely more
on my intuition
... so to
be a fund manager is a tough
call

The result of a recent
questionaire, "Are you a schemer"
I have done read like this :

"You are really something of a softie.
You actually believe that
others can have good motives
& you are unwilling to
use any means to get
what you want."

but Fund manager is one
hell of a job ... it's stressful
but I tink the
adrenaline really
kicks you alive

anyway pal, Junwei has agreed
to teach me blading ... so Saturday will
like blading & driving ...

I miss the SUN big time!!!

the flu has been spreading
& spreading & I have
been taking supplements
every day

The verdict: more than 1 g of Vit C ...
I took 3 g in the initial stage ... tt's crazy
to some pple

Verdict 2: THe hot flu remedy works
a bit

anyway, my flu has lasted for one
whole mth ... I haven't
completely recover ...
but I have at least "live
harmoniously" with
the bacteria or virus

I invite them into my life...
provided I'm the MASTER ...
they can feed on
scrape of bread ... enuff
for them to survive

Thursday I went for an interview ...
it was a bit surrealistic

the moment I stepped into
the Dean's office ...
I was like "why are
there so many pple waiting to
be interviewed, this
will take time"

it was farny ... some
of the interviewee
came out of the room
with a charcoal face ... sometimes
u can hear laughter
coming out for the interview
room

& the room is small ... I
was thinking how it
can fit four to five persons

how can it fit??? I was wondering ...

I was chatting with the pple outside the room
... some were my juniors ...
some were my batch

they were v friendly ... & we din
hide our fear

my hands were close ... so
was the guy sitting next to me

but we are all look calm ...

midway thru then I realise ...
there were intervews for 2
diff groups, one was for
the postgraduate scholarship,
the other was for direct pHD

one of the interviewer asked me...
"U look different from the
foto"

Me: "It's the result of some makeover, but
the facial features are the
same"

Interviewer 1 took a closer look & interviewer
2 says it's him all rite...

We all laughed ... the interview
lasted for 5 minutes...
the strangest interview
I ever attended

Before I left, interviewer 1
asked me how the
atmosphere outside ...
WAT A QUESTION???

I said everyone was nervous....

He was surprised ... he must have faked
tt response... where got pple not
