My voice is back/ Driving / Post CNY shopping/
Starting work

after close to 2 month, my sore throat
is healing ...

I don feel any inflammation anymore
... so it kinda cool to
hear my voice again

tis New Year has been gud to me
... never expect
my
ang pao $$$ to exceed
my last year collection

I'm saving up the $$$ ... 2006
is abt saving $$$, when
I have surpluses
in 2007, then I will

start to spend the money

On the fourth day of
new year, I was still
having a hangover from
the excitement
of the first few days of
new year

I was out at
Orchard doing
some shopping with KL

shopping in Singapore aren't
quite value for $$$ &
the selection is limited ...
but I have too many
torn clothes in my wardrobe

I finished the afternoon
with two tops

on thursday nite ... I went
Aivee's hse with CH & SY
juz to pai-nian ... but there
wasn't anything in her
hse to satisfy our hunger ...
we ended up @
Starbucks

my driving lesson
started last Friday ...
I FINALLY REALISED
WHY ENGINE WILL
STALL !!!

there are so many procedures
& I'm NOT a multi-task
person ... so the second and
third lessons were quite
challenging for me

If my legs are busy ... I couldn't
concentrate with
my hand-work & vice-versa

My instructor kept repeating
his instructions until
he kept frustrated lor

It's v farny ... he got
angry during the middle of
the lesson but at the end
of it ... he will
be like v fatherly ... his
favourite line "beginners, it
always like this".

It will be a steep learning curve
for me ... but I will bide my time

driving is fun ... but I hate it when
the car in front of me
stop or drive v slowly ...
den if my engine stall, my
EARS will suffer

I missed Jayce's new year dinner
for a second time in consecutive
years & I might
miss Sec 4's classmate reunion
dinner tis cmg Sat

tis cmg Sun will be
the end of CNY !!! time to
start working hard, I
reckon

I have a helluva break
since I graduated ... it has been
abt six mths

I have nvr thot I will
be taking such a
long break

Longer than I expect!

but I'm glad I have made
full use of my time ...
it has been a well-spent 6 mths

Work will start in Feb 20 ...
it will be part of my 10 years
plan

10 years later ... no one can
predict what will happen

someone once said "No one
can predict when one's
career will end or what twists
& turns it might take"

Very true indeed!!

What I know is it ... 10 years can
juz pass v quickly

I was @ my former student's home
yst ... it was 2000 when
I thot him ... & now it is 2006

his parents chatted with me
for close to 2 hours & den
I spent close to 2 hr chatting
with my former student

we can click v well ... but when
it comes to soccer we
support opposite clubs

by the time I left his home ...
it was 2:12 am ... I still have fond
memories of my first tutoring
assignment

what I like abt tutoring is
to see my students improving
gradually ... & then aceing
their exam

it's like watching a flower
blossom ...

watching your little
bean seed sprouts when
one was in Pri Sch ...

these are moments I nvr
forget

tt is y I think it's rather
cool to work in
the building &
construction industry

turning a barren land into
a mass of concrete is
a satisfying feeling

mabbe it's in the gene ...
uncle was a contractor
& I spent some of my June
holidays helping up in
his firm

pple says I'm crazy
abt my concept
of a second career,
after I have established
my first

I see it as nothing wrong,
in swapping the thing you
like, for the thing you
love

the rest of Feb should be like this:
starting work, driving lessons,
free spanish movies over the weekend,
the Arsenal-Real Madrid clash & perhaps
the occasional gatherings
