September Blues


Other than my birthday,
Sep has traditionally been
not a gud month for
me


This year, it's no
exception


A year on & things between
me & phoenix were just
like how it was one
yr ago


last sep, it wasn't gud
but 2 months later it
was like a beginning
for us


this sep, things doesn't look
good again


Things hasn't been gud since
8 Sep ... I'm glad
tt at least other aspects
of my life haven't
stagnate


I can smile, laugh & appear
perfectly all right. It's like
everything is as
normal... but
during quieter moment,
the pain tt I felt
was immense


JJ said :" the easier way to forget
is to know another gal."


which is v true, becuz
when someone dear left u,
there's an emotional
vacuum which
seem to expand until
it overwhelms oneself


But I don believe tt
one's affection
can be easily transferred ...
if it's tt easy den love
isn't worth much


Even if love is fragile ... it's
still valuable ... tt's y
despite the pain ... I will
live with it

Finally, I have completed my
module on Research Skill


It's a 2 week course ... n I luv
it becuz it's a good break
from just working
in the lab whole
day


& I skipped lesson on some days


though I don like to take non-exam
module, i took it becuz
of lotsa pragmatic reasons


I submitted my literature review
today ... so this mod
is closed ... I'm quite happy
tt despite the turbulence in
recent weeks...
I have completed the mod


in the weeks ahead ... I want
to focus on fine-tuning my experiments ...
I have stomached one year
of failure ... I think things
will work up soon

I have signed up for this year
Standard Chartered Run...
will run the 21 km with Sinwah


my last major run was in
2004


Sinwah is more dedicated in running
than me ... sometimes I
skip training becuz
of work ... but Sinwah
has been exemplary


It will be fun to take part
after a 3 years lapse ...
I reckon my body
will rise to the occasion ... so
no prob


I do in fact have a competitive
streak ... some of my
frenzs don believe ... but
run with me & u will
know one thing "I HATE
TO BE OVERTAKEN"


After the half-marathon, I will
be off to Bali with a couple
of my frenzs


It's a tough year so I decided to make exception
for my "maximum one overseas
trip a year" policy


Phoenix always said "It's the company
tt counts". So does JJ.
I always laugh when they
say tt ... but I do
agree with them ...


Bali should be fun ... & the
beginning of more fun
in December
